B Vitamins
We offer a vitamin B-complex to our clients that is composed of B1, B2, B3 and B5. In addition to this we offer vitamin B7 which is also known as Biotin and B12 too.
We recommend B-complex to anyone who wants to boost energy. B Vitamins are essential for converting food into energy, usually we get these from food but due to the quality of food these days it is very hard to get sufficient amounts in our diet.
✨💉 B1 (thiamine) is a critical vitamin for the brain and nervous system
✨💉 B2 (riboflavin-5-phosphate) is used for the development of skin, lying of the digestive tract, blood cells and other vital organs
✨💉 B3 (niacinamide) is required for proper utilization of fats and sugars in the body. It is known for lowering LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood
✨💉 B5 (dexpanthenol) is critical for manufacturing red blood cells, it is also important for breaking down fats and carbohydrates and converting into energy
✨💉 B7 (biotin) is involved in a wide range of metabolic processes, primarily related to the utilization of fats, carbohydrates and amino acids. Some studios also shown benefits to hair, skin and nails
✨💉 B12 (cobalamin) is required for proper red blood cell formation, neurological function and DNA synthesis
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is probably the most well known vitamin in the world, arguable rightly so. We all know that vitamin C is an excellent health boosting vitamin.
Vitamin C is not produced by the body internally. The human body relies on getting its vitamin C from external sources.
✨💉 Vitamin C is most commonly known to boost the immune system. It is also important to point out that it is best used to PREVENT colds/flu rather that aiding in recovery
✨💉 Vitamin C also works great as a general antioxidant to protect from everyday pollutants which we can be exposed to
✨💉 Vitamin C improves the dilation of blood vessels, reduces blood pressure and improves many symptoms associated with heart disease and diabetes
✨💉 We need vitamin C to have healthy arteries and veins, it also improves elasticity
Zinc
Zinc is the second most abundant trace metal in the human body and functions as a cofactor in over 300 different enzymes and it interacts with insulin.
✨💉 Zinc promotes wound healing, regulates immune function, serves as a cofactor for numerous antioxidant enzymes and is necessary for protein synthesis and the processing of collagen
✨💉 It plays a role in wound healing, DNA synthesis, taste and smell
✨💉 Zinc is another key mineral used to boost the immune system and is recommended for anyone wanting to boost their immune system but also for anyone who is wanting to accelerate their healing process
✨💉 Zin has an important role to play in DNA synthesis, growth of cells and building proteins which is why it helps with with repair of damaged cells
Selenium
Selenium is a trace element that is naturally present in many foods, added to others, and available as a dietary supplement. Selenium, which is nutritionally essential for humans.
✨💉 Selenium is a constituent of more than two dozen selenoproteins that play a critical roles in reproduction, thyroid hormone metabolism, DNA synthesis and protection from oxidative damage and infection.
Magnesium
Magnesium is the fourth most abundant cation in the body and plays an important physiological role in many of its functions. Having adequate levels of magnesium is linked to proper muscle and nerve functioning as well as energy production.
✨💉Magnesium may lead to improved mood and decreased symptoms of depression by supporting brain chemistry and neurotransmitter regulation
✨💉 May protect against inflammation.
✨💉 May protect against insulin resistance
✨ 💉 Helps reduce blood pressure
✨💉 Supports exercise performance
✨💉 May help with migraines, in terms of both frequency and severity
✨💉 May improve premenstrual syndrome symptoms
Amino Acids
Amino acids are important building blocks of proteins as well as playing critical roles metabolism and intermediate compounds.
Proteins are important for just about every major function of the human body.
At the Happy IV Clinic we offer:
✨💉 Arginine
Arginine plays an important role in cell division, the healing of wounds, removing ammonia from the body, immune functions and release of hormones. Arginine is effective at increasing growth hormone levels and the combined effect of arginine before exercise attenuates the GH response
✨💉 Carnitine
L-Carnitine derived from an amino acid is found in nearly all cells of the body. It plays a critical role in energy production. It transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria so that they can be oxidised (“burned”)
✨💉 Choline
Choline is similar to B vitamins. It can be made in the liver. Choline is used for liver disease, including chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis. It is also used for depression, memory loss. Athletes use it for body building and delaying fatigue in endurance sports. Other uses include lowering cholesterol and controlling asthma.
✨💉 GABA
Gamma-aminobutyric is an amino acid best known for its role as a neurotransmitter that acts on the brain and central nervous system. GABA’s main function is to reduce the activity of nerve cells that are in the nervous system. As a natural supplement it is often used to try and help promote good sleep, reduce stress and anxiety and ease premenstrual symptoms.
✨💉 Glutamine
Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body. Glutamine is important for removing excess ammonia. It also helps your immune systems functioning may be needed for normal brain function and digestion.
✨💉 Lysine
Lysine is an essential amino acid meaning it is necessary for human health but the body cannot make it. Amino acids like lysine are the building blocks of protein. Lysine is important for proper growth. It appears to help the body absorb calcium and it plays an important role in the formation of collagen.
✨💉 Methionine
As an amino acid, methionine is not made in the body in humans - they must ingest methionine or methionine-containing proteins. Loss of methionine has been linked to greying of hair. Its lack leads to a build up of hydrogen peroxide in hair follicles and gradual loss of colour.
✨💉 Ornithine
Can have an anti-fatigue effect in increasing the efficiency of energy consumption and promoting the excretion of ammonia.
✨💉 Serine
Serine comes in two forms: L-serine and D-serine. D-serene might be effective in reducing cognitive deficit and also appears to have antidepressant properties. L-serine may help improve sleeping.
✨💉 Taurine
Taurine deficiency is associated with anxiety, epilepsy, hyperactivity and depression.
✨💉 Glycine
Glycine is a non essential amino acid. It has a wide spectrum of defending characteristics against different injuries and diseases.
Inositol
Inositol is a carbohydrate found in your body as well as in food.
✨💉Inositol may reduce anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and panic attacks by affecting serotonin response.
✨💉It may aid blood sugar control by improving insulin sensitivity
✨💉 Studies have found that inositol may be beneficial for improving the function of the ovaries and fertility in women with PCOS
